Now he's got his own label named "Black Hole Recordings".

Paul van Dijk

DJ Paul Van Dyk is one of the innovators of the current berlin techno scene. Paul together with his close friend Kid Paul run E-Werk/Dubmission club in the old East Berlin. Paul's style ranges from house to very hard trance. He has collaborated with cosmic baby on several tracks, as visions of shiva. Paul is signed to MFS Records, Berlin. His first album, 45 RPM, just came out. (45 RPM)

Paul van Dyk creates music to capture your emotions. In August of '98, the world renowned DJ began his bi-monthly residency at New York's Twilo. As the track "Words" rang out its unmistabkable opening, hands shot up, and screams exploded all over the dancefloor. Truly the states had waited long enough for this DJ and producer to cross the Atlantic.

After dozens of singles and remixes, two ful-length albums, and growing world recognition, Paul van Dyk signed with Mute for North American release in 1998. August 25 saw his first US release, the double a-side Words/For An Angel Remixes 12" single. Words is taken from his second album, Seven Ways (1996); while For An Angel refers back to his 1994 debut entitled 45 RPM. Both albums will be released in the US on October 20.

The dance music that Paul van Dyk creates has been assigned many labels, many have attempted to pigeonhole his work. However, Paul's music cannot be so easily cassified; it is best described as epic house without being chesy, trance without being predictable, techno without being minimal. Simply put: electronic dance music.

Paul was born in Eisenhuettenstadt

Vincent de Moor

Vincent de Moor was born 27 years ago in Delft, Holland. He started his musical career with productions like "Enjoy Yourself" under his nickname Fix to Fax on the local Laser Squad label.

After starting the Funny Vinyl label, the people from Combined Forces noticed that the productions Vincent made were becoming better and his first 12" on this label was a fact. Sidewalk, M-Theatre and still Fix to Fax were the names De Moor used for his productions. In that same period one of Holland's most famous DJ's, Remy, asked Vincent to make a productions for his new Taste label. This Chinese Juice by Outline was released in England.

In March 1996 the Deal Label was launched and after hearing the newest production from Vincent, the A&R manager, together with the guys from S'n'S, decided that "Systematic" by Vincent de Moor should definitely be the fourth release. This song was licensed to Spain and several English compilations.

In 1997 de Moor's "Flowtation" reached number 54 in the UK sales chart (licensed to XL Recordings) and this appears to be the start of a big musical career. In the international press De Moor's work is highly appreciated.
