John Digweed - Global
Underground, Sydney

John Digweed is a world class DJ and consummate craftsman: this is his album. You can make your own video. Dom Philips. Mixmag Editor
This CD is part of a series that sells on the DJ's reputation and not the hits included, will show you how.
It is Digweed's current range of
style's and lengthy, pace-building mixing that you'll find show
cased on this double CD, although you'll barely notice the
changes. He weaves CD1 (RealAudio) from the dreamy 6am dynamics
of Fortunato & Montresor's 'Imagine', through Astral Matrix's
unnerving , percussive 'Toward Omega' He catches the wave of
Danny Tenaglia's 'Elemants', crashing to shore in time for the
classic Frankfurt trance of Jam & Spoon. Fatama Morgans
fluttering, rhythmic 'Apache Spur' opens CD2 (RealAudio), the trancier end of
Digweeds rainbow , the mix picking up pace as it eases into Sound
of Sim's driving, dramatic 'Rub-A-Dub'. Halfway, Deepsky's
'Stargazer' lets the leash off the acid and all hell breaks
loose, Paul Van Dyk's 'Words' pumps melodies into the sky and
Ylem's eerie 'Out of it' eases its pounding back for a colourful
climax.
John Digweed treitert
mij.

Constantly striving to be different from the current crop of top-name jocks, Sasha and Digweed have moved back to the formidable style that made their names. Gone are the endless breakdowns of the epic house heyday. Now with their progressive sound pared down to the basics, this dynamic duo are ready to rock.
From their first visits to America in '94, at Orlando's seminal Aahz club to their unstoppable monthly at New York's Twilo, Sasha and John Digweed have captured American audiences with their impeccable selection and an uncanny ability to work any crowd into a frenzy. As a result, they've been voted amongst the top ten DJ's in the world in DJ Magazine with Sasha holding 5th place and John Digweed at number 7. The duo are the first English DJs ever to hold a US residency and over the past two years Sasha and Digweed have become Twilo's biggest draws. Their monthly residency boasts a line around the block 'til the early morning and over 4,000 punters dancing their asses off each and every month.
World renowned, Sasha and John Digweed are unparalleled studio maestros--Sasha's remixed everyone from Madonna to the Pet Shop Boys and John Digweed's What You Dream Of under his alias Bedrock was huge on the Trainspotting soundtrack. Like a wave breaking into perfect shape, Expeditions highlights Sasha and Digweed's seamless blend of classics and new material. From Matt Deary's massive mix of Mike Coglan's Silence (a tribute to Depeche Mode's Enjoy the Silence) to Sasha's own ethereal Belfunk, this is a diverse collection that will do the rounds in your stereo for years to come.

Heliopolis (Eedupolis Dog Mix)
Mixed by Sasha and John Digweed, this is a well put together
double CD including FSOL, William Orbit, Apollo 440, Underworld
and loads more. Probably called intelligent techno or something
similar, it's nice to hear Michael Dog and Andy Guthrie's mix of
Heliopolis again, as well as what you can do with 2 copies of
Last Train...
