On May 25th 1999 the Dutch Minister of
Health Issues E. Borst-Eilers launched a new internet site for people
with a chronic disease and/or handicap. The site is called 'Leefwijzer'
and can be found on www.leefwijzer.nl.
To the opening of the site contributed among others: author Renate
Dorrestein, olympic wheelchair tennisplayer and Sportswoman of the Year
Chantal Dierendonk, former minister Til Gardeniers, author Karen Spaink
and singer Koos Alberts.The site is an initiative of the National
Committee of Chronic Diseased in Zoetermeer.
