The Tiger Moth Discussion List
a.k.a. Mothspeak

The aim of this discussion list is to provide a forum for (Tiger) Moth owners, pilots, engineers, operators, restorers, etc. for discussing all (Tiger) Moth related issues - with a wide margin. E.g., Gipsy Major engine subjects are welcome too, which means that Chipmunk owners etc. are also most welcome to join as well.

Mothspeak is hosted by Yahoo Groups as of 20th July 2001. The previous Discussion List was hosted by Listbot who is discontinuing this (free) service as from 6th August 2001. The List Master wants to thank the 158 members of the "old" Tiger Moth Discussion List, and encourages all to move to the new facility.

The adress of the new Mothspeak facility is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mothspeak
If you do not have a Yahoo ID you will be asked to register, after which you can join the Group and have access to the archives and other facilities. The new Mothspeak will enable members to file photographs, text files, presentations etc. There even is a facility to chat with other members.
The Group is unlisted in the directories of Yahoo to ascertain a certain level of privacy. Access to join is free and unmoderated to new members for the time being.

After joining the Group, you will receive an e-mail with general rules for use of Mothspeak, how to cancel your subscription etc.
Since this original list started on 27 March 1999, membership has grown to 158. List members are mostly Moth and Chipmunk owners, rebuilders and engineers, based all over the world.

If you join, you will have access to the archive, where all messages are stored.

Mothspeak  members send messages to all other members by using the e-mail address mothspeak@yahoogroups.com. The facility will only accept and distribute mail from members and to members. The list will only accept mail from registered e-mail addresses. As a member you can add more e-mail adresses as aliases, go to Mothspeak for more guidance. There are also options to receive daily digests of e-mails posted at Mothspeak instead of receiving individual e-mails. Subject are threaded, so the line of the discussed topic can be followed.
